Forest View PTA Outreach Programs
Forest View PTA is busy with projects in and around the school, but we often take on projects to help our  local and world community through humanitarian donations, support for education legislation and recycling programs that help our planet...

Legislative News

Our Legislative Team attends regional and state PTA meetings where education challenges and initiatives are discussed.  Important plans and calls-to-action are published for parents periodically in the Falcon Flash newsletter.  For a list of recent legislative news, click here.  Team Captain:  Laura Peterson - lkpete@mac.com

Humanitarian Efforts

Our Humanitarian Team makes plans throughout the school year to help others in need.  Past efforts included clothing, undergarment and shoe drives to benefit Clothes for Kids, Coins for Kids coin drives, book drives for libraries at needy schools, and shoes/monetary donations to aid Haitian refugees.  For a list of recent accomplishments, click here.  Announcements for future efforts will be made via "kidmail" flyers and the Falcon Flash email newsletter.  Team Captain:  Lisa Mills - Lisa@Tengri.us

Recycling Programs

Forest View is proud to host two innovative recycling programs:  Aveda's Plastic Bottle Cap Recycling Program and TerraCycle's Drink Pouch program.  Both of these programs show students how we can all help preserve our planet.  Each effort is easy, visible and productive - producing thousands of items that would otherwise end up in landfills.  Learn how to actively participate in green projects throughout the year. Together we can continue learning, act smart and help the environment!.  Team Captain:  Lisa Mills - Lisa@tengri.us.
