POPCORN VOLUNTEERS
Looks like I forgot to recognize Luanne Te and Cindy Finnerty for filling in popcorn Friday 2/10.  The kids always enjoy their popcorn and it can't happen without volunteers.  Luanne worked really hard getting popcorn machine serviced and repaired during January to have it back in time to start popping 2/10.

The Gingerbread House Two-Night Event was a HUGE success this year!! Many thanks to this year's Directory Team for working so hard to deliver such a useful tool to Forest View Parents.  Team Captain Susan Keel led the charge while Alisha Crawley-Davis tirelessly did the data entry.  Deedra Buchanan used her connections to get us the COOL new cover design, Connie Baldwin wrote content, merged data, and published content, and Marcia Witherspoon, Chris Willis, Emily Ellison, Rachel Michaelis, and Kathy Travena helped it all come together.



FALCON DAD POWER AND SOUND STORAGE

A big thank you goes out to Michael Lunan, Dave Brask, Keith Ferguson, Anita Kotik, and Sierra Brask for helping get the district gymnastics equipment moved from Mill Creek Elementary to Forest View.  Sound Storage (www.SoundStorageOfMillCreek.com) donated the use of their moving truck which Laura Peterson had a lot of fun driving.

A special thanks to Ginny Andrzejewski for completing our 2011 PTA Tax paperwork.  This takes hours of work and would cost the PTA ~$500 if we had to do it professionally.

FUN RUN WRAP UP

Thanks to the wonderful volunteers who helped wrap-up the final pieces of the 2011 Falcon Fun Run.  Last Tuesday Shelley Salmon, Bethany Sugawara, Ginny Andrzejewski, Marion Gillins, and Laura Peterson gathered to prepare the tax receipts for Fun Run donors.  On Wednesday, Michelle Nims, Denise Constantineau, Lisa Mills, Laura Peterson and Toni Wilson sorted and distributed prizes to every single student at Forest View.  The prizes were a big hit -- special thanks to the Fun Run Prize Team (Michelle Nims, Katie Lunan) for bringing so many smiles to our children.

REFLECTIONS

Thanks to Reflections Co-Captains Marion Gillins and Michele Rufer for delivering another great opportunity for Art exploration this year.  We had a record number of applicants and wonderful entries.  Thank you for helping art to thrive at Forest View!

There is no way we could do this without people like you and your time was very much appreciated. Thank you to your kids too, who were patient and helpful.

Graphic Guru Marion Gillins helped the PTA Board create the beautiful "Grow With Us" graphics you will see throughout the year, as well as the Falcon Seed Packet graphic used for the Falcon Fun Run Materials. Thank you Marion for your creative inspirations and follow-through!

A Banner Year!  Stacey Janes and her company www.celebrateexpress.com have really delivered for Forest View.  She designed the beautiful Science Day banners you saw last June, and has created new ones for this school year for the Falcon Fun Run and other PTA events.  They are beautiful and make our school proud!  Thanks to Celebrate Express for donating the materials and production.
